はじめまして。
わたし は スチュアート です。
どおぜ よろしく。
(The katakana for my name courtesy of Japanese Translator .co .uk).
To get Japanese input working under Gnome, I followed the helpful instructions on the forums, but with two important changes.
- Putting the IM exports in .xprofile did nothing for me. I installed them into a file in /etc/X11/xinit/xinit.d/ instead.
- I un-installed UIM, and went with SCIM and its floating toolbar instead. Too many GNOME panel crashes w/ the UIM applet on the panel
Now to loaf off and watch disk 8 of Full Metal Alchemist … I mean, I need to go and practice my comprehension
(Rapture TV are way ahead … only two more episodes left to air)
