The Pattern of Leaves

My desktop wallpaper today continues this week’s theme of celebrating the wonderful Beyond The Border international storytelling festival, which happened last weekend at St Donats’ Art Centre here in South Wales. If you’ve never been, the next one will be in 2012.

I spotted this striking arrangement of leaves on the flagstones of the rose garden on Sunday, and couldn’t resist snapping it. I just loved both the colours used and the fact that some unknown person with quite an artistic eye must have sat down here and carefully put all of this together.

Another photo from the 2010 Beyond The Border tomorrow!

If you’re reading this in the RSS feed, my original blog post also includes a Google map showing where this photo was taken. Unfortunately I haven’t managed to get the map to appear yet in the RSS feed, so for now you’ll have to click through to my blog if you want to see the map. Sorry.
