March of the Penguins

Sorry about the lack of wallpapers for the last couple of days. I’m afraid that I’ve been a little unwell. So today’s wallpaper was originally going to be my choice for Friday.

At the end of the harbour wall in Berwick upon Tweed, as it stretches out into the North Sea, stands a little lighthouse, and around the base of the lighthouse are the fading remains of these penguins. I’m afraid that I don’t know anything about these penguins … if you know, please leave a comment!

If you’re reading this in the RSS feed, my original blog post also includes a Google map showing where this photo was taken. Unfortunately I haven’t managed to get the map to appear yet in the RSS feed, so for now you’ll have to click through to my blog if you want to see the map. Sorry.

Very cool. It has a Banksy feel.
