One of the eye-catching features waiting for you as you walk out along the harbour wall at Berwick upon Tweed is this little red mooring stanchion. The fading red paint contrasts beautifully with the pale flagstones of the wall itself, and you can clearly see where the paint has been worn and the metal underneath polished smooth by mooring ropes.
Have a great weekend, and I’ll be back on Monday with a week of shots taken in Berwick upon Tweed as I made my way around its historic walls.
If you’re reading this in the RSS feed, my original blog post also includes a Google map showing where this photo was taken. Unfortunately I haven’t managed to get the map to appear yet in the RSS feed, so for now you’ll have to click through to my blog if you want to see the map. Sorry.
