Puzzlewood, in the Forest of Dean, is like no other woodland around. With its knarled trees, twisting pathways and canyons of collapsed caves, it’s a like something out of a fairy tale or many popular television shows.

We were very lucky to catch it on a bright sunny day in late April, the place abuzz with children of all ages scouring the woods looking for Easter bunnies hiding out in the trees and rocks. Sadly, we didn’t see any tree-borgs or any weeping angels, and definitely no Amy Pond or any mad man with a box and fish custard. But we definitely had a great time, and if you’re ever thinking of visiting the Forest of Dean, we do recommend making Puzzlewood one of the places you go to see.
