Gate At Sonning Lock

This week’s theme is the Thames Path between the picturesque village of Sonning and the growing town of Reading, which has become my new home during the week. The Thames Path runs for a grand total of 184 miles, from the Cotswolds in the west of England through to the iconic Thames Barrier at the east end of London, and it’s a subject I’ll be returning to every now and then.

Today’s photo is a close-up of one of the gates across the Thames Path at Sonning Lock.

A string of Union Flags tied along a garden fence, presumably to celebrate either Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s diamond jubilee or the London 2012 Olympic Games … or both!

CCTV Sign and Reflections

There are some very striking buildings visible from the Thames Path between Sonning and Reading, forming the Winnersh Triangle business park popular with firms like Oracle and Microsoft. This one in particular caught my eye because, no matter which angle I looked at it, all that I could see were reflections.

Bird Box Through The Trees

The weekdaily desktop wallpaper is back! It’s been exactly a year, and it hasn’t been a nice one 🙁

Hump With A Hat

Hump With A Hat

Taken last night. Went out for a walk to get a bit of practice in (it has been too long!), and spotted this cone perched on top of the road sign.
