The Morgan Arcade

Completed in 1899, and originally called the New Central Arcade, the Morgan Arcade was built to connect the famous (and now sadly gone) David Morgan Department Store in the Hayes with another of David Morgan’s stores opened on St Mary’s Street.

Seen on St Mary’s Street.

Tow-Away Zone Outside Burger King

I can’t remember whether the highly-publicised crackdown on problem parking began before this shot was taken, but you can see from this shot that even the threat of towing away problem parked vehicles simply isn’t taken seriously in Cardiff.

The Vulcan Survives - For Now

In the last ten years, Cardiff City Centre has been transformed by a wide variety of building projects. In the middle of it all, bravely defying the developers who are ripping the historic heart out of Cardiff, sits the Vulcan public house. It survives … for now.

Crossing Two Bridges

The area around Pont y Werin bridge is a little congested visually, perfect for shots like this showing a jogger in red crossing the footbridge whilst a white van heads west on the A4232 away from Cardiff Bay.
