Project: Daily Desktop Wallpaper
Posted by Stuart Herbert on June 9th, 2010
I’m a highly-visual person (just ask anyone who works with me who tries presenting something to me without accompanying diagrams), and early in 2010 I started changing my computer’s desktop wallpaper every day when I got into the office because I realised that I wanted to see something different every day. I started sharing my choices on Twitter, and after some encouraging feedback decided to turn it into a regular feature on my photography blog.
The thing I’ve come to enjoy about this project is the creative challenge of making a photo that stands completely on its own. My Merthyr Road project is pseudo-photo-journalism, trying to capture the history of my adopted home. This project, by contrast, is much more about photography for its own sake.
I hope you enjoy the project as much as I do. You can find all of my wallpaper choices here. And don’t forget to subscribe to my RSS feed, or follow me on Twitter, to keep up to date with my next choice.
